Why you should have coffee before your workout !!!
One of the most effective pre-workout drink that
might surprise you, and you won’t find it in your supplement store. You don’t
have to scoop it out of a huge bottle and mix it with water…. All you have to
do is go to nearby by a coffee shop and get a cup of world’s favourite drink of
course without the cream and sugar.
Perhaps the greatest benefit of having coffee
before your workout is its fat-burning properties. Coffee when consumed before
workout can cause fat cells to be used as an energy source. Also, the high
amounts of caffeine in black coffee will increase your metabolism, which makes
you burn more calories throughout the day. Having coffee before exercise
enhances that effect
To gain an extra edge in your training sessions,
coffee might be just what you need.
So What Does Caffeine do?
Caffeine is a stimulant. It gives you extra stamina
and increases your heart rate, improving blood flow from the heart to the rest
of your body. Caffeine helps you to perform difficult physical tasks by
eliminating fatigue. It also increases the amount of adrenaline in your system.
If you are working out early in the morning, have your coffee 15-45
minutes before you begin your workout.
However, if you are working out at night, consume
your last cup of coffee four to six hours before bedtime, so that it does not
interfere with your normal sleep pattern.
Remember that caffeine does not give you a free
surge of energy. It wakes you up and increases alertness, but it just is a
temporary solution. There's always a slump later. You can call it as `borrowed
energy'. So, instead of completely relying on caffeine for all the energy,
always focus on maintaining stable blood sugar levels by opting for small,
frequent meals.
Please remember when drinking coffee you can't be sure on the
amount of caffeine you are ingesting. Since caffeine is a diuretic i.e.
it increases the production of urine and leaches water out of your system so
always always always remember to replace one cup of coffee with two cups of
water . This is over and above your daily requirement of water i.e 2-3 litres.
It is important to stay hydrated with water as it improves performance and
helps keep the body running at an optimum temperature. Staying hydrated will
also improve your concentration levels, allowing you to get more out of your
workout.'
So…Have your cup of coffee and work your ass off :D
